The collection consists of a variety of objects representative of 19th and early 20th century ways of life: 1.) 19th century lorgnette from the Nina Scudder Memorial Collection ; 2.) two ivory-like fans ; 3.) souvenir handerchief from Berlin 1896 from Telamon Cuyler ; 4.) pocket knife ; 5.) miniature calendar and stamp case 1921 from Johnnie LaBoon ; 6.) three Piso's almanac ("World's smallest") 1910-1917 ; 7.) Indian embroidery from the Maharajah of Hyderabad given to the actress Cora Urquhardt Brown Potter (given to the Libraries by Mrs. Edith Stallings) ; and 8.) two sets of World War II ration books from Mrs. William Tate.
